Tyler holds a BSc (Hons) in Chinese Medicine (acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion and tuina) and clinical biosciences from Middlesex university and a Bachelor of Medicine from the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
She has trained and worked in both the UK and China in private practice, clinics, NHS pain clinics and hospitals and for WASPS Rugby Club 1st Division Squad.
Tyler has been practicing Chinese Medicine for 15 years and has a special interest in the treatment of musculoskeletal and postural dysfunction, pain, respiratory conditions, emotional disorders, pre- and post-natal health, women’s health and fertility. She is an associate practitioner of Dr Trevor Wing’s Woman’s Natural Health Practice in London and holds a postgraduate diploma in Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture in gynaecology, obstetrics and reproductive medicine. She is also a former member of the London Acupuncture for Childbirth Team, a network of practitioners specialising in the field of obstetric acupuncture.
Tyler is also a skilled manual therapist, studying disciplines from East and West bodywork disciplines, including tuina, shiatsu, remedial and sports massage and myofascial release, plus advanced techniques including joint and spinal mobilisation, intra-oral massage, visceral bodywork and functional movement training. She is a certified Structural Integration and structural bodywork practitioner, trained by The Kinesis School with Tom Myers, an approach derived from Rolfing, with an emphasis on realigning postural and movement dysfunction.
Having practiced in London for many years, Tyler moved to Devon to enjoy a deeper connection to the land and water. She is now in private practice in Devon and is enjoying the privilege of assisting at Source Point Community Acupuncture clinic to enable more people to benefit from receiving acupuncture.
