Pippa Brown Lic Ac, MBAcC, BSc (Hons)
Pippa developed an interest in both Eastern and Western medicine over ten years ago. After studying holistic therapies she began training to be a doctor at Southampton medical school. As her interest in natural medicine grew she decided to change direction and train as an acupuncturist.
Pippa studied at the Integrated College of Chinese Medicine in Reading and began practicing a combination of Five Element acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her specialist interest is emotional health and she enjoys creating a healing space for patients to connect deeply with their energetic state.
Pippa has worked as part of two low-cost multi-bed teams in Hove and Lewes near Brighton, and within private practice. She has also been on the locum team for a charity providing low-cost ear acupuncture in Brighton called Pathways to Health.
For a number of years, Pippa has worked for a mental health research team, currently on the ‘Time to Change’ initiative which is concerned with reducing stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.
Pippa practices meditation and yoga and enjoys drawing, and feeling connected to nature, especially walking and swimming in wild or beautiful places. She finds it incredibly rewarding to be part of a low-cost community acupuncture team, helping to create a group healing space and making acupuncture affordable and accessible to all.
She is a member of The Association of Community and Multibed Acupuncture Clinics (ACMAC) and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the UK’s largest professional/self-regulatory body for the practice of traditional acupuncture.
