Community Acupuncture Clinic
The Community Acupuncture clinic is our flagship service and is what the clinic was originally set up to offer. It focuses on multi-bed acupuncture delivered by a multi-practitioner model.
Multi-Bed means you are treated in our large open plan room with seven beds which are screened off for privacy. There will be multiple people treated at the same time with your acupuncture clinician spending 20 minutes with you to have a quick chat to see how things are progressing before putting your needles in. Whilst you rest and let the magic work your clinician will be treating someone else nearby. You are never left alone and you can call out for anything you need at any time.
Multi-Practitioner means you are not treated by the same acupuncturist each time. You will normally have short blocks of 2-4 treatments with one practitioner and then receive treatment from a different clinician. This has the advantage of receiving a second opinion on your treatment progress as well as access to a wider bank of skills and knowledge. Your case is initially diagnosed and then reviewed by the whole clinical team so whoever you see will be familiar with your case and would have had a say in your diagnosis treatment plan and review.
Some people prefer to see the same acupuncturist each time. If this is you, then we also offer the choose your practitioner option which might suit you better.
